LEO JOY HEINEN

Leo Joy Heinen is a queer interdisciplinary artist based in Minneapolis. They work across mediums such as sculpture, performance, creative writing, wood, modular structure, clay, paper making, fiber arts, book arts, art installation and fabrication, music, electricity, and found materials. Leo finds and invents magic through their creative explorations. Leo is often drawn to narratives surrounding healing, magical realism, community, queerness, and nature. They earned their Bachelors of Fine Arts in Ceramics and Sculpture at University of Wisconsin Madison in 2022.
